K1 and K2 are really into building towers; while Keona's are becoming decidedly more complex, Kalani's generally run tall and very thin. He gets really angry when they fall, and unknown to me was a little put out by his brother's taller towers. Yesterday, he produced his own solution. I figured when he disappeared that he had just gone into the other room after his choo-choos and continued reading the news, with my paper held high in front of my face, so I didn't see what was happening literally under my nose. Kalani had, in fact, gone into the kitchen after the paper towel rolls stacked in the corner; there were 3. He brought them, one by one, into the livingroom and built his new and obviously taller tower right next to his brother and then said...."Look mommy! Tall tower!" Keona was a little nonplussed for sure! First, he laughed and then he got angry because brother was building them next to his tower! I have to say, "it was a riot!" You gotta give Kalani credit for ingenuity.

Mental Blogging...
February slipped by without a real live post. I have, however, blogged many times in my mind! So I'll begin in the beginning.....
Kalani turned 2; he's quickly leaving babydom behind and becoming a full-fledged little kid. It makes me just want to squeeze him tight and hold him where he is! It seems that every day he makes some developmental stride. The most obvious of late being the TALKING. Just after his birthday, we went to the circus (pics in another post) and then out to dinner. Before that, he had been using words and making sentences here and there, but as we sat down at our table he clearly stated, "I want some chicken!" and really hasn't stopped talking since. LOL!
